Vedilink usernames are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and are intended for active use.

Naming Conventions

  • Username can only contain alphanumeric characters, underscore and dot, with a maximum of 31 characters.
  • Underscore and dot can’t be at the end or start of a username (e.g _username / username_ / .username / username.).
  • Underscore and dot can’t be next to each other (e.g user_.name).
  • Underscore or dot can’t be used multiple times in a row (e.g user__name / user..name).

What if the username I want is already taken?

If the username you want has already been claimed, consider other names or unique variations. Using a number, underscore, dot, or an alternative spelling might help you identify a desirable username still available.

Username Squatting

A Vedilink user may not inactively hold a username for future use. Attempts to buy, sell, or solicit other forms of payment in exchange for Vedilink accounts or usernames are prohibited and may result in account suspension or removal.

Inactive Vedilink accounts may be renamed or removed at our discretion. We will not rename or remove an active account except in the case of name squatting, which is prohibited. You can request a username for an account that appears inactive, but please note that not all activity on Vedilink is publicly visible. To do so, please contact us.
